Momentum Norfolk Open Meeting

On Tuesday the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the Labour Party
will meet to decide the terms of the leadership contest of the Labour
Party.  As of today Jeremy Corbyn on the BBC Marr Show stated that he
expected automatically to be on the ballot if Angela Eagle does as she
is expected to do and confirm on Monday that she will stand for
leadership of the Labour Party.  However it is entirely possible that
the NEC meeting on Tuesday will rule that Jeremy Corbyn will need 51
MP's to nominate him before his name goes onto the ballot.  It is
clear that the a powerful group within the Parliamentary Labour Party
(plp) are determined to deny the members of the party the right to
choose their leader and will attempt to keep Jeremy Corbyn off the
ballot by any means possible.

That is why we have decided to have a meeting open to members and
supporters of Momentum to get involved to get Jeremy Corbyn first (if
required) onto the ballot paper and then re-elected leader of the
Labour Party.

The meeting will be held at the Unite Office on Thorpe Road, Norwich
(google for directions).  The meeting room has a limited capacity so
please RSVP your seat through the EventBrite link.  The Unite Office
has access for wheelchair users.  The meeting starts at 7pm and will
finish at 9pm sharp.

Please come to the meeting and get involved in Momentum and defend the
democratic right of the members to elect the leader of the the Labour
Party, the mandate on which Jeremy Corbyn was elected and for a new
kind of politics.
