NHS in Crisis: Why We Are Going to Block the Road

The NHS is in deep crisis. The political and corporate elite are now fast-tracking the privatisation programme. We are reaching a tipping-point as the corporates gobble up vast chunks of our health-care system. We are on the brink of a US-style insurance system where you pay for care.

A group of junior doctors, nurses, and other health workers and activists have come together in NHS Solidarity to launch a mass campaign of direct action to block and reverse the privatisation programme. The aim is full restoration of the NHS as a publicly funded, publicly owned, and publicly provided service. You can see the NHS Solidarity Charter here:

This participatory meeting will a) explain how the NHS is being privatised, and b) plan the first mass direct action on 14 July, when we intend to march from Barts Hospital to a mass sit-down in The City during the evening rush-hour:www.facebook.com/events/245797525796605/
