2017 was a year like no other in recent British political history and transformed the political landscape for many years to come. From the record low turnout amongst young people in the Stoke Central by-election of February to Jeremy Corbyn getting his own slot on the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury in June, we have seen a huge increase in political engagement, debate and appetite amongst young people.
The Labour Party's turnaround in the polls and 30 newly gained seats have been widely attributed to this resurgent politicisation of young people, and the tens of thousands of young activists who took to the streets up and down the UK for a Labour victory.
